99.3% Pass Rate Across all A2 Level Courses at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College

Students studying on A2 and AS Level courses at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College in North Shields had every reason to celebrate today as they were informed of their AS and A2 exam results.

The atmosphere at the College was charged with excitement as student after student realised that their hard work and determination had paid off and they had been awarded the  grades that they needed for their chosen career or to access Higher Education.

Many were ecstatic as they realised that their high grades would secure them a place at their first choice of university.

Former TyneMet College Student is GB Team Member

Queen Alexandra Sixth Form and TyneMet Colleges would like to send a special message of support to Dominique Allen from Dudley, a member of the Team GB Women's Basketball Team.

Dominique studied at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College when it was formerly known as TyneMet Sixth Form Academy. She studied PE, Maths, Art and Design, Mathematics and Economics and Business.

Success Overflows at Tyne Metropolitan College's Annual Further Education Award Ceremony

TyneMet College Annual celebrated its annual Further Education Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 3rd July 2012 at the Whitley Bay Playhouse. This celebratory event was, for the second year running, sponsored by Potts Print (UK).

The College was delighted to welcome Sir John Hall as the key note speaker for the Ceremony who congratulated all of the students on their achievements and gave an inspirational speech promoting the importance of self development and persistence when pursuing ambitions and achievements.

Marden High School Student Off to the Olympics Thanks to Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College

Becca Williams, 15, from New York, North Tyneside, currently a student at Marden High School, won tickets to see an Olympic Football fixture when she attended the Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College's new student party.

The event at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College in North Shields was organised for students who are starting A Level study at the College in September, about 40 students attended the party to meet existing students and become acquainted with others like themselves, new to the College.
